A two-day itinerary featuring the old town, beautiful beaches and must-visit restaurants

Renowned as one of the French Riviera’s most refined destinations and located just over an hour from The Mall Sanremo, Antibes delights visitors with its perfect blend of history, sea and art.

The tour begins in the heart of the Old Town with breakfast at Nomads Coffee, overlooking the lively Marché Provençal. Among the stalls laden with fresh fruit, spices, cheeses and local delicacies, be sure to try socca, the traditional chickpea flatbread baked in a wood-fired oven.

Just a short walk away is the Musée Picasso, housed within the Château Grimaldi, where the great artist worked in 1946.

After your visit, stop for lunch at Le Café Brun or Bistro Chez Jules, then spend the afternoon wandering through the streets of the Old Town, from the picturesque Safranier district to its more elegant avenues, lined with artisan boutiques, art galleries and glimpses of the Mediterranean. If the heat becomes too much, cool off with a swim at Plage de la Gravette before heading to the harbour to admire Le Nomade, Jaume Plensa’s monumental sculpture. Afterwards, seek out the city’s many street art installations or stop at one of its many bars for an aperitif.

For dinner, indulge in the fine dining of  L’Arazur or Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit.

The second day is dedicated to the beach. To one side lies Juan-les-Pins, a vibrant seaside resort renowned for its beach clubs and Les Pêcheurs, the Michelin-starred restaurant overlooking the harbour.

On the other, the Cap d’Antibes peninsula is home to spectacular beaches with crystal-clear waters, including Plage de la Salis and Plage de la Garoupe. These can also be reached via the famous Sentier du Tire-Poil, a five-kilometre coastal trail carved into the cliffs and overlooking the Mediterranean, leading to the southernmost tip of the peninsula and its breathtaking coves, including the Baie des Milliardaires d’Antibes.
