“See you at Paszkowski’s” is what Florentines have been saying for over a century when they agree to meet in Piazza della Repubblica, halfway between the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. Caffè Concerto Paszkowski is a venue that evokes charmat the very mention of its name! A National Monument and member of Italy’s Association of Historical Places, Paszkowski was established in the late 1800s and, in 1903, it was taken over by the Tuscan company that produced a well-known beer, Paszkowski, from which the Café’s name derived. It soon became a very popular pub and refreshment bar, frequented by the most illustrious Italian writers of the time- from Prezzolini, Soffici, Papini and D’Annunzio to Montale, Saba and Pratolini a few decades later- also due to its eagerly-awaited “Caffè Concerto” events which attracted music lovers and international artists.
The spacious and bright spaces of the Café, also known for its outdoor seating, ooze with history and charm. Caffè Concerto Paszkowski reopened this year, after philological restoration works by the Valenza family, the Café’s owners for forty years.

Not only has the Café freshened up its look, but the staff has got a little bigger this year with Chef Fabio Barbaglini joining the team of historic pastry chefs, with the challenge of refocusing the restaurant toward a new cuisine style, simple and light but refined and based on the use of top-quality ingredients, in keeping with the Café’s long-standing reputation. Business Lunch is served at the table from 12.00 to 3.00 pm, while the dinner menu is more elaborate, although it includes pizza and a children’s menu. There is also a Club formula with Exclusive Card offering benefits and reservation priority.
THE CAFE’
Paszkowski’s traditional all-day-long coffee shop service includes a light menu ranging from the classic house toast sandwich– the key to its success is the secret bread recipe- to cold dishes and the day’s special available at lunch served at the table. Not to mention the pastries… prepared daily by two great master pastry chefs.
