The First Urban Resort

Three exclusive boutique hotels in Rome that have revolutionised the concept of hospitality

Art, sweetness and music. Three pleasures of life for three exclusive boutique hotels. It is The First Roma, an urban resort scattered throughout the heart of the Eternal City within the triangle made up of Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo and Castel Sant’Angelo. Each has its own style and characteristics to offer their guests tailor-made services and hospitality. “The First” is exactly her/him: the guest who, if they desire to take advantage of the full offer, can have access to the facilities of all three structures.

THE FIRST ARTE
Via del Vantaggio, 14
It was the first of three to open in 2011 and is located in a 19th-century building a stone’s throw away from the iconic Spanish Steps. An art hotel where guests can immerse themselves in Italian art with as many as 200 works by Italian artists exhibited in the common areas; or also enjoy the exquisite dishes of the Acquolina, a two star Michelin restaurant with the beautiful Acquaroof Terrazza Molinari terrace and a cocktail bar with amazing views of the city.

THE FIRST DOLCE
Via del Corso, 63
Just like its sister hotel, here the historic style of the building is perfectly blended with an elegant, contemporary design. The highlight of the hotel – and that is why it is called dolce (sweet) – is the splendid Velo pastry shop on the first floor featuring seats by Edra designed by Jacopo Foggini which recall caramelised sugar, and a yellow Siena marble counter where chef Andrea Cingottini proudly displays his delicious pastry creations.

THE FIRST MUSICA
Lungotevere dei Mellini, 26
It overlooks the River Tiber and features a modern façade with large glass windows which pay homage to the iconic Ara Pacis Museum of Richard Meier on the opposite bank of the river. Opened in 2022, it houses the Alto seafood restaurant and cocktail bar with a panoramic view from the three upper floors, and a terrace which overlooks the city’s historic monuments. The menus are prepared by Matteo Cavoli, the sous-chef of the Acquolina restaurant. Before the end of 2023, the hotel will also open an elegant underground spa with indoor pool and wellness area.
