It takes its name after the famous Florentine bridge of Carraia, one of the oldest in Florence. In recent years La Carraia has been focusing all its efforts on quality, affordability and friendliness trying to bring its personality into their making of home-made ice cream. Do not miss out on the Delizia La Carraia flavour with white chocolate and Bronte pistachio praline sauce.

Just a stone’s throw away from Santa Croce, one of the oldest ice cream parlours in Florence. Since 1930 the fourth generation of family members still invent and produce home-made ice cream with high-quality ingredients and plenty of passion. Our suggestion? Their ice cream served through a buchetta (tiny hole-in-the-wall) Make sure you try the Crema Vivoli: made with milk, sugar, eggs and dextrose. Without any other flavourings.

Via Toscanella, 15r

Cinzia Otri has been working for about ten years experimenting and surprising us with creations using a good choice of ingredients. Make sure you try the “recycled” Green Vibes sorbet made with an infusion of orange and lemon peel, ginger and bay leaves. A peculiar taste which has also been awarded Three Cones in the Gambero Rosso guide.
