Golf club immersed in the Rolling hills

For those who practice golf, Tuscany is a territory that offers many possibilities, both from the point of view of the structures and from that of the landscape. From the soft hills decorated with cypresses and olive trees, up to the areas closest to the sea, the scenery is unique and, practicing this activity, it is truly pleasant.

Today we will focus on fields immersed in the Tuscan hinterland, but the offer is also very wide along the coast.

Here is the list of those we want to recommend:

  • Ugolino Golf Club. It is in Florence and is located in the countryside leading to Impruneta. This sport arrived in the chief town thanks to the British in 1800 and, thanks to them, the property was built which represents, today, one of the most suggestive and fascinating structures in the world. Playing Ugolino is an unforgettable experience that immerses the player in a hilly landscape of rare sweetness.
  • Le Pavoniere Golf & Country Club. Located near Prato, it was born in one of the properties of Leopoldo dei Medici. Inside we discover an ancient restored villa converted into a Club House. The surface is quite flat and full of well-kept lakes and greens.
  • Montecatini Golf Club. Not far from the city of the same name, it is located in nearby Monsummano Terme. The course is quite demanding and the landscape really seems to do everything to distract the players from their real meaning: put the ball in the hole. Merit of the originality of the plant goes to the architect Marco Croze.
  • Poggio dei Medici Golf & Country Club. Located in the first mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, it offers 4 different itineraries, more or less demanding. It is also easily accessible from Florence and it is preferable to visit it during the mid seasons or in winter because of the few shady areas.

If you are looking for places that combine sport and relaxation you will find yourself very well in La Bagnaia in Murlo (SI), the Resort Castelfalfi in Montaione (FI), the Terme di Saturnia Golf Club and at the Argentario Golf Club in Porto Ercole. Structures that have been able to create luxury destinations with full respect for nature.

Finally, for fans of this sport, do not miss the Ponte Vecchio Golf Challenge, an event that takes place in mid-December directly on the oldest bridge in Florence. From here the goal is to center the three floating holes located in the Arno. An absolutely suggestive initiative!
