La Bandita Townhouse is a boutique hotel consisting of 12 luxury rooms in the historic center of Pienza, a small Renaissance village in the south of Siena created in perfect harmony with the Tuscan context and taste.
With the main doorway overlooking Corso Rossellino, a stone avenue, La Bandita Townhouse, a member of Design Hotel, integrates perfectly with the beauty of Tuscany and the Renaissance character of the historic center of Pienza. At La Bandita Townhouse, a luxurious 12-room boutique hotel, you find yourself immersed in a world flooded with wooden beams, exposed stone walls and comfortable vintage and contemporary furniture. Hidden in the historic center of the village of Pienza, a UNESCO heritage site, a small jewel of the Renaissance, the building is a palace where the nuns lived for over 500 years. Instead of creating something new and brash, the owner of La Bandita Townhouse has staked everything on comfort, familiarity, local immersion and style, building a place to relax, eat well and get caught up in the rhythms of everyday life. The immobility of the main square in the morning, with the citizens do the daily shopping and the serial buzz of the animated trattorias. Situated on a splendid hill between quiet cobblestone streets, the property blends perfectly with the character of the village, its facade indistinguishable from the annexed buildings. The result is an experience that captures the true essence of Tuscany.
The nuns’ cells have been replaced by 12 large rooms that combine contemporary design with ceilings with wooden beams and centuries-old stone walls. All the rooms have high ceilings and many have large windows that allow you to observe the medieval alleys, capture the distant sound of an Italian song and smell the prepared pasta sauce for lunch. The warm cream-colored parquet floors meet stone walls to make the DNA of this old structure visible. From the suites on the top floor, you have a wide view of the Val D’Orcia in Montepulciano, Montefollonico and Monte Amiata.
