Hôtel Les Roches Rouges

An authentic french Riviera experience

Set on the glorious Provence coast between St. Tropez and Cannes, Hôtel Les Roches Rouges is a sanctuary of barefoot Riviera luxury steeped in a stunning natural environment and authentic regional culture, down to the local fishermen who deliver the daily catch.

Renowned Parisian architecture firm Festen has reworked the late-1950s/early-1960s structure, stripping away unnecessary ornamentation and bad renovations from the 1980s and 1990s to emphasize the clean nautical-modernist lines of classic French Riviera architecture and put full focus on the vast blue expanse of Mediterranean Sea unfurling just outside the windows. Far from the madding crowds, the hotel offers several wooden huts and lookout points for admiring the sunset and nature, while its Mediterranean garden in a natural landscape showcases aromatic vegetation that thrives in coastal terrain. Here, too, one finds a natural seawater swimming pool and a swimming lane cut directly into the coastal rock; numerous on-site activities, including pétanque, open-air cinema, diving, and snorkeling often enjoyed in collaboration with locals; and two restaurants (including the Michelin-star-winning La Terrasse) and three bars serving up tastes and food directly from the surrounding community.

The property is bathed in azure blue, pure white, and red ochre—three standout colors of the Estérel region—and boasts “simple but noble materials,” note Festen’s Hugo Sauzay and Charlotte de Tonnac. Polished concrete, aged oak, terra cotta ceramics by Céramiques du Beaujolais—everything authentic to the South of France—along with endless sea views, a waterfront setting, and a focus on personal wellbeing, embrace guests looking for the perfect Provence escape.
