Roster’s Tiepidarium

The Roster’s Tiepidarium is located inside the Horticultural Garden of Florence. It is a magnificent liberty style mid-800 greenhouse made by Giacomo Roster in cast iron, iron and glass, completely surrounded by greenery. Inside there are markets, exhibitions and the famous flower exhibition that every year, between the end of April and the beginning of May, allows you to witness the suggestive birth of butterflies.

Fiesole

Fiesole definitely worth a visit for its panorama, its historic villas, the Roman amphitheater and a food and wine break away from the city. The main square Mino da Fiesole is the perfect example of how the past can well blend with modernity. For those who visit Florence in the summer season, don’t miss the Estate Fiesolana, which since 1911 has been one of the most important events in the city: a festival that combines cinema, dance, music and theater.

The Rose Garden

The rose garden is located on the San Miniato hill just below Piazzale Michelangelo. It is a beautiful jewel with more than 350 species of roses, which allows you to enjoy a breathtaking view of Florence. It also houses 12 installations by the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon, donated to the Municipality of Florence by his widowed wife. Ideal place to spend few hours of relaxation in the company of a good book.

Specola Museum

The Museo della Specola is one of the oldest and largest scientific museums in Europe. There are exhibits of extraordinary scientific and naturalistic value: the sixteenth-century herbariums, the precious waxes of the eighteenth century, the fossil skeletons of large mammals, the collections of colorful butterflies, the large tourmaline crystals, the spectacular Maori masks and the ethnic jewels of the peoples native.

Synagogue

The copper green dome that stands between the Florentine roofs belongs to the beautiful Synagogue. Equipped with an architecture of rare beauty with its Moorish style, it is one of the most significant examples in Europe. The interior is very impressive and of great charm: rich geometric decorations embellish the walls and the light becomes a thousand colors filtering through the mosaic windows.

Stibbert Museum

Located on a splendid hill in Florence, the Stibbert Museum houses the famous collection of weapons, objects of art and daily life of European, Islamic and Far Eastern civilization, especially Japanese. The Garden of the Stibbert Museum is certainly worth visiting. An English garden also with exotic references such as the presence of an Egyptian-style temple placed inside a pond.
