Borgo dei Conti is an architectural compound, halfway up Monte Petriolo, along the road that leads from Perugia to Città della Pieve, and overlooking the Nestore river valley. It was born from the transformation of an original fortress, which already existed in the 13th century. The compound is peppered by about 600 olive trees planted at the end of the 19th century. With an English garden layout, it is crossed by long avenues and covers the entire hill up to the entrance of the valley, which is protected by an imposing tower and magnificent oak wood.
