Amazing nature from Alassio to Sanremo up to the border with France

GARDENS OF VILLA DELLA PERGOLA – ALASSIO
(less than one hour’s drive from The Mall Sanremo)
Overlooking the sea of Alassio and with 22,000 square metres of green areas, the gardens house the most important collection of Agapanthus in Europe – almost 500 different species – as well as 34 varieties of the largest collection of wisteria in Italy.

VILLA NOBEL – SANREMO
Just one look is enough to understand why the scientist Alfred Nobel – precisely the one from the famous Prize – was enchanted by this villa and chose to spend the last years of his life here. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens with indigenous plants and rare species, including a very tall Cupressus macrocarpa, a tree endemic to California.

VILLA ORMOND – SANREMO
The gardens of the 19th-century Villa Ormond are also home to the Floriseum, the Museum of Flowers of Sanremo. They are made up of numerous interconnected areas with a typical Italian-style garden in the centre, but also beautiful exotic plants, an area dedicated to ficus trees and even a Japanese garden.

GIARDINI REGINA ELENA – SANREMO
It is located north of Pigna, the historic centre of the City of Flowers. It is not only a beautiful park but also a great view point offering a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the sea.

GIARDINO PALLANCA – BORDIGHERA
(half an hour’s drive from The Mall Sanremo)
Also Monet fell in love with this place during his stay in Liguria. It is a beautiful, exotic botanical garden with a collection of cacti and succulent plants which extends for 10,000 square metres between terraces overlooking the sea and staircases.

GIARDINI BOTANICI HANBURY – VENTIMIGLIA
(40 minutes’ drive from The Mall Sanremo)
One of the most famous botanical gardens in the world. It extends over 18 hectares of green areas overlooking the marine nature reserve of Capo Mortola with thousands of botanical species from all parts of the world, including rare and endangered species.
