Tuscany, with its coast overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, is full of enchanting beaches. Very often, however, it is known only for the beauty and artistic heritage of the hinterland. Let’s discover together the most fascinating beaches of Tuscany.

From Grossetano, with the coasts of Monte Argentario and Orbetello, to Versilia, where the beaches are wide and famous for the tourist offer. Also the islands are not to be missed: Elba and the island of Giglio.

The Argentario coast is famous for its pristine bays surrounded by nature.

Cala del Gesso is a hidden paradise, reachable on foot, which will leave you breathless. Characterized by an emerald sea and golden sand, it is perfect for those who love nature and wild beaches.

Cala Violina, inside the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve, is a beautiful cove with transparent sea enhanced by very white backdrops. We recommend visiting it early in the morning, when it is deserted and you can enjoy all its charm. Its name is due to the sound that the sand makes when walking on it, which recalls the sound of a violin.

Bagni di Domiziano, also called Gerini beach, are very suggestive. A small oasis reached by a path among the olive trees which is located in front of an ancient Roman house. On low tide days, the ancient remains of the tanks used to raise fish, dating back to 36 BC, emerge from the sea.

If we talk about the most beautiful marine destinations in Tuscany it is impossible not to mention the Elba Island.

Sansone beach is the most famous and one of the most crowded in summer, but it absolutely deserves to be visited. Turquoise water and white rocks suitable for snorkelers and the lovers of  pristine sea.

Acquavivetta beach is less touristy but equally suggestive. A small cove with white gravel and crystal clear sea reachable by a walking path, certainly deserves for its beauty and tranquility.

In the province of Livorno is the Feniglia beach. Very long, about 7 km, it is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature in front of an emerald sea.

Who prefer equipped beaches and comfort combined with relaxation, Versilia is certainly the ideal destination: the long sandy coast starts from Forte dei Marmi and extends to Viareggio. Perfect for families and young nightlife lovers.
