The most beautiful bays and coves in Liguria
03/08/2022
A real paradise from east to west between famous beaches and little hidden gems

CALA MARAMOZZA – LERICI

Lerici hides a wonderful secret place: there is a little cove nestled between the promontory of Maralunga and Maramozza with shimmering translucent sea surrounded by the scents of Mediterranean scrub. It can be reached by boat or by taking the short, but quite steep path amidst greenery.

BAIA DEL SILENZIO – SESTRI LEVANTE

It is one of the most popular beaches in Liguria. A strip of golden sand surrounded by pastel-coloured houses. Secluded and tucked away beyond the small peninsula, you will find its larger and livelier ‘sister beach’ called Baia delle Favole.

BAIA DI PARAGGI – SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURE

We are a stone’s throw away from Portofino along the famous stretch of coastline with the legendary Bagni fiore, symbol of Liguria’s Dolce Vita. Nearby, there is a beautiful and lesser-known private beach where you can enjoy exciting diving adventures thanks to the seabed full of different species of coral.

SAN FRUTTUOSO – CAMOGLI

This natural and architectonic treasure includes the famous Benedictine Abbey, located right on the beach (today, it belongs to The Italian Environmental Fund) and Christ of the Abyss, which stands on the seabed at a depth of about 17 metres, in memory of the famous diver Dario Gonzatti.

BAIA DELLE SIRENE – BERGEGGI

Right in the centre of one of the most beautiful and unspoilt stretches of coastline in Liguria, Bergeggi boasts wide strips of shingle beaches and rocky coves, as well as the beautiful Baia delle Sirene with its turquoise sea contrasting against the white of the cliffs.

BAIA DEI SARACENI AND PUNTA CRENA – VARIGOTTI

The picturesque and colourful village of Varigotti boasts picture postcard beaches: the Baia dei Saraceni with its golden sand and fine shingle, easily accessed, and the small cove of Punta Crena, a paradise for only those few who are able to reach it by following an arduous hiking trail, or by sea, even with a basic canoe.

SPIAGGIA DEI BALZI ROSSI – VENTIMIGLIA

Incredible nature close to the border of France. The sea is breathtaking along the Côte d’Azur and the Protected Marine Reserve of Capo Mortola. The impressive Maritime Alps are close by and you will find a sophisticated bathing establishment on the beach.
