EZE
The most picturesque village of the Côte d’Azur, perched on a towering rocky spur that provides one of the broadest and most extraordinary views in the Mediterranean. The village is a genuine medieval jewel and barely fifteen minutes from Monaco, its tortuous narrow streets inhabited by stone houses and small artisan workshops. The crowning glory is the Exotic Garden, opened in 1933, with its stunning viewpoint and incredible collection of plants from all over the world.

LA TURBIE
One of the area’s most magnificent viewpoints, still close to Monaco. The village boasts an iconic Ancient Roman monument that stands out against the blue sea; it was erected in the 1st century BC to commemorate the emperor Augustus’ victory over the rebellious local tribes. A few traces of the medieval wall bear witness to the village’s fortified past.

SAINT-PAUL DE VENCE
We’re on a hill inland from Nice and Antibes, more precisely behind Cagnes-sur-Mer. Here the ancient walls are still clearly visible and enclose a series of cobbled streets, staircases and fountains, overlooked by artisans’ workshops and artists’ studios. This village’s romantic atmosphere makes it the perfect place for a candlelit dinner for two. Don’t miss the Chapelle des Penitents Blancs, decorated by Jean-Michel Folon.

GRASSE
The undisputed capital of perfumes, less than half an hour from the glamour of Cannes. As far back as the 17th and 18th centuries, fragrances created by the town’s master perfumists were all the rage among the ladies of the French court. Essences are extracted from local flowers including lavender, jasmine, orange blossom, mimosa, Provence roses and violets. To tell this fascinating and sweet-smelling story, there’s a museum and visits to factory-workshops Molinard, Galimard and Fragonard.
