Plants and cactus overlooking the sea

An exotic garden in Bordighera awaits you with a breathtaking scenery to discover one of the most important collections of cacti and succulent plants in Europe in the heart of the Riviera dei Fiori.

The richness of the varieties present and the exceptional size of many of them make the Pallanca Exotic Garden the most complete collection of its kind on the national territory, placing itself at the top of the world.
The Pallanca Exotic Garden is a botanical garden specialized in cacti and succulent plants. The collection is private and represents the result of the work of collection, acclimatization and nomenclature carried out in four generations of the Pallanca family. Since 1989 the Garden has become a private museum that can be visited by the public.
The 10000-meter garden winds its way among the sandstone rocks, the last slopes of the ancient volcano of Monte Nero. The botanical richness is accompanied by the suggestion of the naturalistic scenery within which the visit takes place. In every corner it is possible to discover something unusual and botanically rare.
Ladders and terraces have been created in ocher-colored stone giving the collection the appearance of a rock garden, alternating with shaded areas, spaces for meditation and an unmissable panorama of the sea and the bay. The management of the Garden is now entrusted to the Botanical Exotic Garden Pallanca Cultural Association, founded by the Pallanca Family. Inside the Garden there is a large sector library whose public access must be reserved.
