Discovering Chianti
01/04/2020
A trip between nature and food and wine excellences

Among its infinite rows of vineyards, the avenues surrounded by cypresses, the fields of sunflowers and olive groves, the naturalistic landscape of Chianti surprises those who visit it and immerse it in an almost fairytale context.

Within this magnificent land we can find the flavors, scents and landscapes of the purest Tuscany through its farmhouses and its luxurious villas.

The Chianti Classico territory extends between Florence, Siena and Arezzo.

A continuous alternation of unique hills and villages where time has stood still: an evocative landscape full of history but also of unique and inimitable products that have made this region famous all over the world.

Here we can find the most sought after scents of all Italy such as cheeses, salami, honey, extra virgin olive oil and, of course, the wine, from the Chianti Classico red to the whites, rosés, vinsanti and grappas.

A small list of villages not to be missed:

Greve in Chianti:

It is considered the “entrance door” of Chianti and therefore the first stop to do during your visit. Here the triangular main square that welcomes shops under its arcades where you can taste local products is striking.

Ponzano in Chianti:

A few kilometers from Greve in Chianti is the village that, in history, has played the important role of defending the territories of Florence. Walking through its narrow streets you can breathe the air of past times.

Castellina in Chianti:

Closer to Siena and positioned in an extremely strategic point, it made this village an important military center. This is testified by the majestic Rocca that surmounts the central square and overlooks a breathtaking landscape, here you can enjoy an excellent glass of wine in front of a unique sunset.

Radda in Chianti

In Radda you can get lost walking through the narrow streets of the center to discover particular views of the surrounding landscape, sipping a glass of wine and holding a good sandwich in the other hand.
