nzo Ferrari himself called it the most spectacular race in the world. A race where only vintage cars with a unique charm are admitted. For the 2023 edition, the participants will be 420, ready to race along the most suggestive Italian roads through cities of art and breathtaking landscapes. A loop race from Brescia to Rome for a total of more than 2000 km. Also this year, the race will pass through Tuscany on the third of the five days of the race (not four as usual) as part of the stage which goes from Rome to Parma.
Established in 1927, the Mille Miglia was initially a speed race until 1957, the year of the legendary victory by Nuvolari who overtook Varzi with his headlights off. The race was stopped for a few years and then returned in 1977 as an endurance race with the participation of the same historic car models which had competed in it during the first decades of the century.
Do not miss out on this event on Thursday 15 June to admire these magnificent vehicles created by Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Ferrari, Maserati and many other car manufacturers which have made the history of car making. The race will first pass through the beautiful landscapes of Val d’Orcia, then Siena with the traditional stop for lunch in Piazza del Campo, San Miniato, Vinci, Pistoia and the Abetone pass, and finally reach Emilia Romagna.
Everyone will have their eyes on the duo formed by Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli, the winners of the last two editions, who race with their Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato registered in 1929. Among their challengers are Belometti with Bergomi, Lorenzo and Mario Turelli (father and son, who arrived second and third in 2022), Luca Patron, Aliverti with Valente, Fontanella with Covelli, Sisti with Gualandi and Matteo Belotti, winner of the Coppa delle Alpi 2023.
Who is going to win? Find out on 17 June!
